First we went to the Eli’s friend’s shop in Galilee and bought some
mangoes from his friend. There were a lot of olive oils in the shop. They also
had shofars. I blew the shofar but didn’t think they are good enough.
Mount of Beatitudes: The place where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount
to 5000 people (Matthew 5-7).
Sea of Galilee: Then we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant (St. Peter's Fish) and went on
the Sea of Galilee boat. Although called “Sea of Galilee,” the water is
actually freshwater! It’s a giant lake!

Magdala: Hometown of Mary Magdalene (Mary from Magdala). There were no
temples after the destruction of the temple in 70AD, so the Jews prayed in
synagogues every day, morning, noon, and evening. Magdala has a first century
synagogue, the Migdal Synagogue.
Church of Heptapegon: Tabgha, the place where Jesus fed 5000 people
with five loaves an two fishes.
Capernaum: Jesus likes to hang out here. It’s got a 6th century
synagogue. It’s also got a church built in honour of Peter. This is said to be
Peter’s home town.
National Diamonds & Jewellery Co: Apparently Israel’s greatest
profit comes from agriculture. The second biggest comes from diamond industry.
Israel’s got the highest technology for cutting diamonds. The “perfect cut” was
calculated by mathematician. The pink diamond has the most natural colour and
is said to be the most precious. In this place, they sell US $1900 half karat
diamond, and $3500 for 0.7 karat. My mom bought a Jerusalem cross there.
And when we got back to Jerusalem, the sun was setting, giving us the
classic picture of the “Gold Jerusalem.”
