Morling Tuesday Chapel: Reign with God

Topic: Reign with God
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16: 17-19.

Interactive relationship with God. One of the dangers of seminary college is that we don’t know God.
We learned the “Omnis” in the seminary. You can know all about God but not know Him! Not in an intimate relationship! We are not to just write papers about God but to really know Him!
Seek first His Kingdom. Matthew 6:33
Eternal life is an interactive relationship with God!

Revelations 22:5
And they will reign forever and forever with Him!

Connections between Genesis 1:28, Revelation 22:5: Reigning! Dominion!
We are designed for dominion now and forever. But our dominion apart of God’s Kingdom, will fail, due to lack of resources, as we are finite human beings with little resources. Little kingdoms and queendoms are in collision with each other and we get wars. For those who surrender their lives into God’s kingdom have unlimited resources, but you got to live according to His will and His way (we can’t expect God’s support to develop a Meth lab).
The big problem in life is the sin problem! Jesus has already reconciled the world. The question is whether we are willing to surrender our little kingdom to God’s Kingdom and watch His Kingdom flourish.
Eternity is in session here. We expect His power. Live with presumption, presume God is going to meet with you and walk with you. When we surrender our kingdom/queendom, we don’t become puppets. We will still make decisions and act. We can still do what we want to do and God’s with us, because the will is the same.
